The Owl Pen Revisited is a body of work by Gillian based on the woodcuts of Lucille Oille done in the 1940's. It is currently running at The Orillia Museum of Art and History until January 18th, 2025.

Sunday, November 26th Block Printing Workshop- Card Making
In this jam packed 4 hour class we will cover the basics related to block printing. No experience necessary! I will provide the space, materials and ideas for you to go from “I know nothing” to “look what I printed!”. At the end, you will take home 10 printed cards with envelopes, your carved block, and a stamp pad- along with new skills and confidence to continue block printing.

Fire Season
Three years prior, a huge fire had ravaged the area, and the focus of the rescue efforts had gone into saving the Provincial Parks, and as soon as we left the boundary of the Park, we saw the full devastation. The fire had charred the forest and land as far as we could see.
The Origins of Owl and Snake
The snake and the owl were originally battling in the air, but through multiple sketches they came to this happy agreement that owl would be allowed to carry snake- as long as we all know that snake is, in fact, not dead.
Saying goodbye to Bo
Bo had lately started going on adventures on his own, leaving the yard to go eat garbage, or even better- to go swimming in the lake in the neighbours backyard! He gave us a few scares when he left like that, and turned on his selective hearing.
