Owl Pen Show Receives funding from Ontario Arts Council
I am so grateful to The Ontario Arts Council and The Government of Ontario for providing exhibition support for my show, The Owl Pen Revisited, running September 28, 2024 to January 18, 2025 at The Orillia Museum of Art and History.
This funding assisted me in having my works professionally framed at The Shadow Box in Orillia, where they turned out beautifully. In contrast to painting, where the work is usually ready to be hung when completed, in printmaking there is always a question of how to hang your print, and how much to invest in framing. I wanted the framing to match the level of attention to detail I put into each piece, and to support the images without being distracting- and I believe we achieved that. Many thanks to The Shadow Box for taking such care and attention with this process.
Some framed pieces from the show are still available to purchase through The Orillia Museum of Art and History, and you can rest assured that they have been framed with care, using archival quality materials and UV protected glass. Please contact OMAH for more information.
